It was only the second week of Lent, but the last of our students’ evenings of the term focused on Easter, and a mainly light-hearted look at traditional Easter celebrations.
Since the autumn we’ve hosted monthly evenings for students from Josephine Butler College, and we’ve very much enjoyed the return hospitality that they’ve offered us on two occasions.
Our early Easter evening was again well attended – perhaps students were glad to have a couple of hours away from the books and the panic of looming end-of-term essays. Certainly we all enjoyed the special treats brought and prepared by our own eager knitters and bakers.
This was the last of this year’s student evenings. We wish all our student friends well in the coming months – and we hope to meet up in the autumn with those who are due to be back in Durham.
